Our stalwart, Rhidhhi Prasad Das of class X, created history for the school by completing a seven-week course in less than a day. The online course, conducted by Michigan University, garnered him 100% grade. Proud Moment for Doon International School as Aaradha Chandras of I-C bagged a Gold Medal in North Inter Club Taekwondo Championship held at Dev Samaj College, Chandigarh. Congratulations young achiever! We are proud of you!

Hindustan Times recently conducted an Essay Writing Competition for awarding scholarships to deserving students for all schools for classes VI onwards. Tanmay Thakur from class VII-A and Unat Kaur Pannu from class VIII –C from our school were the proud recipients of scholarships of Rs. 25000/- each. The felicitation ceremony took place at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Public Administration on 30 January 2020.

On 6 & 7 December, Doon International School, Mohali hosted Sh. Harchand Singh Memorial Basketball Tournament in which ten schools participated . The teams that reached the semi finals were DIS, Shishu Niketan, Vivek High School and Learning Paths School. The team that took the trophy home was Learning Paths School. The participants of this team were given gold medals. Doon International School being in the second place, the players received silver medals.

Good Handwriting is regarded as a sign of perfect education. Chetan Tripathi and Raj Shekhar of Grade X of DIS, Mohali were felicitated for Best Handwriting at NCC ATC - 125 camp at Ropar. Congratulations to you guys!!

Drug Abuse is a rampant menace in today's world that has to be seriously dealt with. The NCC students of DIS,Mohali organised an Anti Drug Abuse Cycle Rally of 22kms which attempted to throw light on the alarming increase in the substance abuse among youth of our nation during their highly productive ages. They put up eye catching slogans and placards to specify and support this noble cause. Certainly, it was a wonderful step towards removing the social evils of the Indian society by NCC Doonites. Here are the glimpses of this big leap.

Young scientists Tej Partap Singh Brar and Rhiddhi Prasad Das of Doon International School, Mohali emerged as winners yet again! The duo, under the mentorship of their science teacher Mrs. Charanjit Kaur Brar, developed an innovative technique for wastewater management and presented it in the Regional Level CBSE Science Exhibition 2019 held on 22-23 Nov 2019 at Green Land Sr. Sec. School, Ludhiana, Punjab wherein about 150 schools from Punjab and Chandigarh presented their ideas through models.

The project by DIS was highly appreciated by the panel of experts and also by the visitors. Both students shall now present their project in the National Level CBSE Exhibition in January 2020. DIS wishes both the young scientists great luck in all their future endeavours.

Doon International School is having its name carved in golden letters as new milestones are achieved.
Khushi Bhati of Grade XI, Humanities, bagged 2 Gold in 3000m Road Race, 1 Silver in 1000m Rink Race and 1 Bronze in 500m Rink Race in the Open State Tournament, Ludhiana. Furthermore, she is making the DIS community proud as she got selected for Nationals to be held at Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

DIS Mohali, takes a moment to congratulate Jaspal Singh of VIII C for his extraordinary performance in Nationals for which he was awarded participation certificate. He was also awarded 'Player of the Match' title in Reliance Cup held on 10th November in Ashiana public school.

Proud moment for DIS,Mohali .Our students Amrita won 3 gold medals and Tejveer singh won 1 gold and 2 silver medals at Chandigarh State Roller Skating championship. Both of them got selected for nationals which are to be held at Vishakhapatnam.

DIS ACHIEVEMENT-National Anveshika Experimental Skills Test
Another proud moment for DIS, Mohali.Tej Partap Singh Brar of Class IX- A has been felicitated with a Special Prize for standing first among class IX & X students in the National Anveshika Experimental Skills Test (NAEST) 2019. The awards distribution ceremony was held on 05 October 2019 at Physics Department, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Grace Gill the district topper procured 98.6%, following the footsteps is Kritika with 98.2% from Humanities stream. Students of DISMohali have done it yet again! 32 students of Doon International School, Mohali brought laurels to their Alma Mater by improving the count of medals in the medal tally of SOF Olympiad. A total of 32 medals including 03 Medals of Distinction, 11 Gold Medals, 09 Silver Medals and 09 Bronze Medals were awarded to the scholars of DIS in SOF Science Olympiad. The Medals of Distinction were awarded to Tej Partap Singh Brar of Class VIII, Jaskirat Singh of Class XI (Non Medical stream) and Gurkirat Singh of Class XI (Non Medical Stream) for performing exceedingly well at zonal and international levels. On the eve of Children’s Day and the birthday of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru, this year, DIS organised the first “Minithon” under Road to Fitness Club for classes I to XII .This nascent initiative is taken to promote fitness and to save environment from vehicular pollution. Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. This is what the students of DIS Mohali proved when they were declared the second top team in South Asia in World Scholar's Cup at Melbourne, Australia.

The entire team comprising of Guneet Singh, Mehtab Singh and Daisy Singh, was accorded 10 gold and 8 silver medals. They will be competing with top 20 teams of the world at Yale University, New York.
